The tire label provides insight into a tire's performance and characteristics. This label includes information about fuel consumption, wet grip, and external rolling noise.
Within the European Union, tire labels are mandatory and displayed uniformly. This allows you to make a choice that suits your vehicle, driving conditions, and usage.
Fuel Consumption
Fuel consumption indicates how much rolling resistance a tire has. The lower the rolling resistance, the less fuel the vehicle consumes. The classification ranges from A (most efficient) to E (least efficient). A tire with a better rating can contribute to lower fuel costs and reduced CO₂ emissions.
Wet Grip
This component indicates how well a tire performs on wet roads. A higher score means shorter braking distances and greater safety in rainy conditions. This classification also ranges from A (most grip) to E (least grip).
External Rolling Noise
External rolling noise indicates how much noise a tire produces while driving, measured in decibels (dB). This affects the ambient noise, especially outside the cabin. The noise level is also indicated by one, two, or three sound waves:
1 wave: low noise level
2 waves: medium noise level
3 waves: high noise level
